Religion trotted around the lake, her black pelt shinning in the sun light. Fall was just around the corner, she could tell. The warm rays from the sun and the cool breeze at her back did not fool her. It's always nice before it gets cold She thoughtlike a reminder while your freezing that one day it will be warm again. She bent her head down the cool waters and drank for a while. When feeling refreshed her brought her head up, water dripping from her lips her blue eyes searching. For Patton? Maybe, she was beginning to wonder who the other members of his herd were. She hoped to meet them before winter, not that it really mattered. She stepped into the water, pawing at it. She dropped to her knees and then her back end followed. Once she was laying in the water she rolled covering herself in water and sand. When she felt she had gotten most of herself covered she got up and shook off the water and any loose sand.
She felt refreshed from the roll in the water. It cooled her dark pelt that seemed to absorb every last bit of warmth from the sun making summer so hot it was nearly unbearable. But she was happy so she could handle the hot summer days. But soon the weather would turn more cool, and then soon freezing. She was glad she was a bit thicker, more suited for the cold. Not that she had to like it. She moved away from the lake to a patch of grass. She swatted away flies as she bent her head down to graze.
