Atlas moved through the meadow slowly, barely picking up his long legs. The dappled stallion was tired from so much walking, and he soon decided to find a place to rest. The nearby maple trees seemed a good choice, and the goliath soon lumbered in that direction.
Steel blue eyes glanced around before Atlas lowered himself to the ground, feeling much more comfortable now that he was out of the sun's rays. Although he closed his eyes, he stayed alert, ears swiveling back and forth every now and again. One could never be too careful when you were alone and in an unfamiliar place.

Patton
Patton trotted through the tall grass. He shifted to the right and came to a halt. He was face to face with a light dappled stallion. He was extremely tall. About nineteen hands high. And patton, the cremello stallion only stood around seventeen hands off the ground. It was the one time Patton actually felt too small to be in lead and tell other equines what to do. He spoke with hesitation to the large beast. "Um..he hello...i'm pat patton." He said with a sudden shiver down his spine. Maybe he should have this stallion as a beta. That would give Patton extremely good first impressions.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Atlas opened his eyes when he heard another horse approaching. By the time the other stallion reached him, the large dapple gray horse was standing up again. He heard the other stallion's hesitation, and couldn't help but smile a little.
He dipped his head in greeting,"Hello Patton, my name is Atlas," he rumbled, his deep voice kind and formal. Atlas wasn't necessarily the most bold or rash of horses, so even though he was taller than the cremello stallion in front of him, he acted as if he was the smaller of the two.

"Hello Atlas!" Spoke Patton. Patton backed up a few spaces. He then looked at the beast. He was obviously bachelor material. Handsome too. Mares would be lured in by his looks and kindness. Just what Patton was wanting and hoping for. So Patton needed to give him a high rank. Beta. So everyone could see where Atlas stood in the growing pack. But Patton would be delighted if Atlas accepted the offer. "Atlas? I have a very important offer standing in front of you today, and if you decline or accept. It will change your mind, and life forever. Erm, would you like to be beta stallion in the bachelor herd?" Patton said with a nice and deep, firm voice. Now Patton only wanted to hear the answer yes.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

"Beta?" Atlas was quiet for a moment, thinking about the decision. He had never really been good at giving orders or being in any type of high ranking...he was just too nice sometimes. Of course, this was a great opportunity, and far better than being alone. After a few more moments, the large stallion nodded his head. "Thank you for the offer, Patton. I would be honored to be the beta stallion."

Patton lightly jumped in his socks. He was so glad Atlas was now beta. But now was Patton's turn to step up. "Thank you, Atlas. I am very glad that you will be there with me. But when you can travel there in a about a week and we will have a meeting. Near the shore. You can meet me there. Then I will see how many members we have residing there. And if you could do me a favor. And no, it is not evil...ish. But when you travel through out lands be sure to find horses and bring them back to the beach to talk to me. I will determine if they stay or not. And if they wish to not come. Ask for their name." After Patton was finished speaking he flicked his ears and bent down. The grass in the meadow was quite tasty. And was passing as a meal.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Atlas nodded at Patton's request. He would do as asked, no matter the task. Some could call it a flaw, but Atlas liked to believe he was trustworthy and loyal, and that he was. He also bent his head, pulling up some of the lush grass. Many thoughts passed through his head, but the blue eyed beast didn't voice any of them, there was no need.

Patton
Patton nodded at the dapple and then lowered his eyes back down on the thick grass. You know Atlas, I think this is the nicest I have ever been to any equine in the entire world. Your lucky! Patton said as a smile landed his face. It had been years since he had last smiled. And that was when he started his first ever bachelor herd. And now this one? On a shore. Right next to the hot bachelorette's. It was insane. Was his dream finally coming to a halt, or starting a whole new beginning?

Atlas returned the smile, "It seems I am. Kindness is a good trait to have," he said with a small nod. Lifting his head to look out at the horizon, Atlas marveled at the new lands he had ventured into. He wasn't accustomed to such warm weather, instead hailing from a much more mountainous and rocky home where his height was only a little above average, and his thick muscles and bones helped him to survive instead of show off. "If you don't mind me asking, Patton, are you from around these parts? Or completely different lands?"

Patton
Patton reached his head up and snorted lightly. He hadn't heard a question like that in a long long while. No, I am not. I travel a lot but plan to stay here to build up a new herd. He said as he shook his mane and returned level with the stallion's shoulders. As Atlas was much much taller. Patton turned his head up. Are you? Patton said kindly returning the same question given.
