I must be blind or really stupid....i dont know how to cut the horse out.....whcih really screws me up from the start...could someone help? Please....XD.....I feel SO stupid....ok thanks!

haha, actually, there are a few different ways to cut out a horse, the one I prefer is paths tool, which I find a lot easier to use. there is also the free select tool, which is the one that looks like a lasso. It basically works in the same fashion, I just never really liked it.

I just crop out most of the background, leaving the subject in a very small square. Then I transfer the picture onto another window with a transparent background and just erase everything that's not my subject.
It's complicated, but if done right, you can get some nice results.

Yes, I know how to do that but I cant actually get it cut.... It just shows the lines...then what do I do?

well, after you make sure the lines are close enough (im presuming your using the paths tool here), then you click selection from path. after that, click control C. then delete the entire background image, and then just click control v to paste the cut out version of the horse.
